That’s always the first question. My impulse is to answer with: “What don’t I write about?” But OK, I get what you’re getting at.
My specialties are travel writing and sustainability reporting. I also do:
Lest I get pigeonholed as a lifestyle journalist, I make verbal sketches of whatever’s in my head on a given day over at my blog. Posts tend to be either experiential vignettes drawn from random corners of my life, or about my often bumbling (but occasionally brilliant) attempts to figure out how best to use my time above ground.
I also dabble in short stories.
Looking forward, I’d be grateful for the opportunity to write about my current list of mostly pointy-headed interests: psychology, art, small farms, homelessness, cultural anthropology, genealogy, philosophy, and idea conferences.
Oh, and I’m an author. Buy my book.
